This is a political cartoon that was most likely in the daily news by a man by Fitzpatrick. Its purpose is to show the icy relations between the USSR and the US and Great Britain. The world was splitting into two sectors, communism and capitalism during this time and just like we learned in class Germany was a result from these differing views, the Berlin blockade and the Czechoslovakia issue created a split between the western world and the USSR. As seen through a drawing it gives the rest of the world a visual idea of what is happening in Europe. The drawing shows the allies and their foe but the limitation is there is no date on the drawing and if there was a date it would add to the value of the cartoon. For example if it was 1948 the Berlin airlift would directly parallel to it.
